Ontology & Aesthetics of AI Images

사진의 지표적 흔적과 AI 이미지의 확률적 구성을 비교하고 기계의 지각과 인간의 감각이 만나는 방식을 탐구한다. 기계적 푼크툼과 감각적 생성 미학을 통해 인간–AI 공동창작의 예술적 가능성을 살핀다.

This research compares photography’s indexical traces with the probabilistic construction of AI images and explores encounters between machine perception and human experience. Mechanical punctum and the aesthetics of sensory generation offer ways to examine the artistic possibilities of human–AI co-creation.

AI와 미디어의 정치

AI & the Politics of Media

AI와 미디어 장치가 이미지의 생산뿐 아니라 감각, 선택, 시간 경험을 조직하는 방식을 분석한다. 프롬프트와 플랫폼의 통치 구조, 실시간과 즉각적 생성의 시간 정치를 비판적으로 검토하고 주체적 실천과 대항 미학의 가능성을 탐구한다.

This research examines how AI and media apparatuses organize perception, choice and the experience of time, as well as image production. It critically investigates the governance of prompts and platforms, the temporal politics of real time and instantaneous generation, and the possibilities of agency and counter-aesthetic practice.

매체의 역사

Media History

초기 항공사진과 드론이 기술, 산업, 제도, 사회적 실천의 관계 속에서 형성되는 과정을 추적한다. 사진의 기록 도구로서의 정착과 드론의 사회적 안정화, 감시·저널리즘·예술로 확장되는 매체의 가능성을 탐구한다.

This research traces the formation of early aerial photography and drones through relationships among technology, industry, institutions and social practice. It examines photography’s establishment as a recording medium, the social stabilization of drones, and their expanding roles in surveillance, journalism and art.
