박은광은 사진가이자 연구자이다. 사진, 시각 매체와 이미지 이론을 연구하고 가르치며 사진이라는 매체가 지닌 현실과 비현실의 경계에서 ‘진실’이 무엇인지 탐구한다.

그의 작업은 빛과 기억, 삶과 죽음, 공간의 의미를 따라 전개된다. 《Like an Afterimage》는 보이는 것과 보이지 않는 현실의 경계를 《Trace》는 기억을 통한 세계의 연결을 탐색한다. 《Beyond The Light》와 《Let there be Light》에서는 빛을 통해 드러나는 욕망과 상상의 가능성을 다룬다.

《Genuine Ground》는 선택과 구성에 따라 달라지는 공간의 의미를 《Eternal Breath》는 호흡을 통한 영원성의 문제를 살핀다. 사진 작업과 함께 사진 매체의 역사, 기술 이미지, 생성형 AI와 시각 문화에 관한 연구를 이어가고 있다.

상명대학교 사진학과를 졸업하고 뉴욕 파슨스 스쿨에서 Photography & Related Media 석사학위를 받았다. 2021년 서강대학교 영상대학원에서 문화콘텐츠를 전공하여 영상학 박사학위를 받았다.

Eun Kwang Light Park is a photographer and researcher whose teaching spans photography, visual media and image theory. His practice explores the question of truth at the boundary between the real and the unreal in photography.

His work unfolds through light, memory, life and death, and the meaning of space. Like an Afterimage explores the boundary between visible and invisible realities, while Trace examines connections between worlds through memory. Beyond The Light and Let there be Light consider desire and the possibilities of imagination revealed through light.

Genuine Ground investigates how the meaning of space changes through selection and construction. Eternal Breath approaches the question of eternity through breathing. Alongside his photographic practice, his research addresses the history of photographic media, technical images, generative AI and visual culture.

He received a BFA in Photography from Sangmyung University and an MFA in Photography and Related Media from Parsons The New School for Design. In 2021, he earned a PhD in Media, specializing in Cultural Contents, from the Graduate School of Media at Sogang University.
